Iliad’s Half-Year Core Earnings Increased By 2% Due To Italy’s Strength
Strong results in Italy helped French telecom provider Iliad report a 2.2% increase in its half-year core profit on Thursday.
EBITDAaL, or profits before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization and after leases, was €2 billion ($2.3 billion) during the first half of 2026.
For the six-month period, Iliad recorded consolidated revenue of €5.24 billion, a 3% increase over the previous year. France saw a 1.5% increase in revenue to €3.32 billion, Italy saw a 10.2% increase to €665 million, and Poland saw a 3.5% increase to €1.26 billion.
The figures demonstrate how Iliad has developed from a French price disruptor into a larger European telecom business, with Poland and Italy providing a growing portion of growth as its home market gets closer to saturation.
By the end of June, the group had 52.5 million members overall after adding 300,000 in the second quarter.
While fixed-line subscribers were mostly constant, mobile users drove that rise. France had 23.4 million subscribers at the end of the quarter, while Poland and Italy each added roughly 100,000 users to reach 15.8 million and 13.3 million, respectively.
