Manchester-based fashion brand Nadine Merabi has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Louise Greenlees as a non-executive director, adding senior international retail experience as the luxury label continues to expand.
Greenlees brings experience across start-ups, growing businesses and major international retailers, with a career covering the UK, Europe, the US and wider global markets. In 2022, she became senior executive vice president and group president at TJX Companies, the parent company of TK Maxx and Homesense, where she was responsible for operations across Europe and Australia.
Nadine Merabi’s non-executive chair Nick Beighton said the company was looking for a board member with strong product expertise, experience in scaling businesses internationally and an approach that would align with the brand’s culture. He said Greenlees brought those qualities to the role.
Founder Nadine Merabi also welcomed the appointment, saying Greenlees would add to the board’s existing range of expertise alongside Beighton, the former Matches chief executive, and Hash Ladha, the former Jigsaw CEO. She said the expanded board would provide additional support to the company’s executive leadership.
The appointment comes ahead of another senior leadership change. Briony Garbett is scheduled to join Nadine Merabi as chief executive in November. Garbett previously served as managing director of Karen Millen, a position she took up in 2025.
The fashion brand has also been changing its corporate structure as it develops into a larger business. New articles of association filed with Companies House in July gave founder Merabi significant rights as the company’s “founding shareholder” and introduced four share classes.
At the same time, the brand is broadening its product range beyond occasionwear. In June, it launched its first denim capsule, adapting its signature sculpted aesthetic into a denim-focused collection.
The company’s latest financial results show continued growth. For the year ending June 30, 2025, revenue increased 28% to £22.3 million, supported by stronger ecommerce performance, marketing improvements and growth across wholesale and retail channels. Gross profit reached £14.8 million, while the gross margin remained at 66%.
