Women at the Heart of Economic Change and Innovation 
Women entrepreneurs in 2026 have seen global success while still fighting their way into the upper echelons of corporate leadership. The World Entrepreneurs and Investment Forum have celebrated women as the driving force behind this year’s economic change. Female businesswomen have pioneered an unprecedented number of successful startups this year, which has been recognized and documented by the World Entrepreneurs and Investment Forum. Female-led med-tech startup AI Diagnostics from South Africa was able to raise 5.2 million USD to develop AI-based hardware to fight tuberculosis, and Refiant AI saw its value grow 5x after announcing its 5 million USD raise to develop novel AI model compression methods.
Women entrepreneurs worldwide lead the charge in the development of groundbreaking new technologies in fintech, healthtech, and sustainability. Female-led startups in Europe and Asia are at the forefront of the cutting-edge fields of energy and digital learning, and many prominent venture funds are investing in women-led projects in these areas. Women entrepreneurship receives a boost in status and reputation from both national and international platforms as well as policy initiatives that promote women’s ascent in the corporate world, such as the World Entrepreneurs and Investment Forum and the power lists. Women’s achievements are driving change and encouraging a rising number of women to be pioneers and public figures.
